"I hired Nicky Oliver from White Magnolia Events to help me plan my daughter's May wedding. I had already started a bit of the planning, but soon found myself getting overwhelmed with just how much is involved in planning a wedding in 2021. I was reluctant to hire a wedding planner, but thought it was something I should seriously consider. This was our eldest daughter's wedding, the first wedding on both sides and I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to make it perfect for the couple and both families.

 

It was now only 5 months out from the big day, so I put the feelers out in a FB wedding chat group for a planner. I had lots of responses, but Nicky somehow immediately stood out to me . We chatted via Messenger and then on the phone a few days later and I just knew that she was the one I was willing to trust with what I feel is a massive responsibility, the biggest day of my daughter's life so far! From our first face to face meeting with Nicky, I felt comfortable handing over everything to her, a huge sense of relief actually. Nicky took over the little work I had started. There was still so many more vendors to find and so much more to do.

 

I honestly can't express enough just how impressive this young woman is in action. Her organisation skills are literally unbelievable, she knows exactly what she is doing. The way Nicky communicated everything to me, kept me updated and involved. She advised me but never made decisions without consulting me and that's exactly what I hoped for. Nicky's attention to detail is outstanding! The smallest little thing, she has thought of it and covered it. There is no way I would have known half the things you need to do. Nicky made enquiries, sourced and liaised with vendors, got pricing & always advised me on what she thought was the best way to go. Pretty sure we took Nicky's advise on everything. Nicky also kept up to date with any Covid restrictions that may impact us.

 

In person Nicky presents beautifully. She literally has a smile on her face all the time and has the most positive, friendly, vibrant yet professional personality. Nicky brings a great energy and it's obvious she is confident & passionate about what she does. Throw in her can do attitude & she is everything you could want in a Event Planner! Nicky regularly kept in touch and is very giving of her time. We met quite a few times and she even organised to meet a vendor on site, to be sure they knew exactly how we wanted the ceremony set up. Nothing is too much hassle for her and there is no such thing as a dumb question (thank goodness, cause I had a few!)

 

A few weeks out from the wedding the invoices started to roll in via Nicky, and thanks to her I knew exactly who and what I was paying. She kept a tally of my expenses. The lead up to the wedding was calm, I knew that Nicky had everything under control, she always assured me that the day would be perfect!

 

Nicky went to the venue a few days before with lots of things we wanted to make the venue special and personal, she started to bump-in and was there literally all day. Come the wedding day Nicky was the first person at the venue (and first look, and ceremony) and the last person to leave the venue, she stayed long after we and all the guests had left. Nicky was absolutely fantastic! Everything we had discussed prior to the wedding day she followed through on to the tee, she was definitely the hardest working person of the day and the lead up as well. Nicky took care of everything and any issues that arose she dealt with without telling me about which allowed my husband and I to relax and truly enjoy our girl's big day.

 

The day went off perfectly, it was everything we could have hoped for. We've had so much wonderful feedback from our guests on how lovely the wedding was and I know that I have Nicky to thank for that, she was truly AMAZING! I have already recommended her and I know that a friend has since booked her services. You honestly won't find a better event planner x"
